This Lucid key makes use of 21 externally visible characters (e.g., colour, shape, size and texture) for comprehensive seed identification. Explanatory notes and images are attached to character states to assist the user in correct selection of the state. Each species page includes a seed image, family name, common names, special features, origin and distribution, and quarantine status. The Key also links to an appropriate page of the GRIN taxonomy database which provides further information about each seed.
